Remember when crafting an Eye of Ender was as simple as tossing Blaze Powder and an Ender Pearl together? Those days are gone. Progressive Ender Eyes transforms that casual step into a multi-stage adventure that forces you to explore every corner of your Minecraft world before you can even think about heading to The End.
My First Run With the Mod
I booted up my survival world thinking I’d knock out the End Portal before lunch.
Wrong.
The recipe now demands Wind Charges to give the eye its lift, Blaze Powder for power, an Echo Shard to help it locate the stronghold, and Prismarine for its hardened casing. That means trips to the Nether, the Deep Dark, and an Ocean Monument all before you even throw your first Eye.
It’s no longer “grab some pearls and go.” It’s a scavenger hunt across biomes and dimensions, and honestly, it makes that first trip to The End feel earned.

Others aren’t as thrilled, pointing out the Echo Shard bottleneck:
Deep Dark cities don’t spawn often enough. You can get stuck waiting for one item.
If you’re running a multiplayer server, you might want to tweak spawn rates so the hunt doesn’t stall progress for weeks.
