Direbats Mod (1.21.8, 1.21.1) – Stealthy Predators of the Deep Caves

Direbats Mod (1.21.8, 1.21.1) introduces a thrilling new mob that reshapes the danger of Minecraft’s darkest environments. These upgraded, larger cousins of vanilla bats bring new behavior mechanics, status effects, and item drops that add both challenge and strategy to your underground adventures. With their eerie presence, Direbats emerge as shadowy guardians of the cave systems and occasionally the surface, during full moons.

Features:

• Hostile in Light, Neutral in Darkness:
  Direbats remain passive in total darkness but become aggressive when exposed to light levels above 4, or when provoked.
• Full Moon Surface Spawns:
  While they mainly inhabit deep caves, Direbats also spawn above ground on full moon nights, bringing a rare surface-level threat.
• Blindness-Inducing Attacks:
  When they attack, Direbats inflict the Blindness effect for 5 seconds, greatly reducing visibility during combat.
• Item Stealing Mechanic:
  These cunning mobs can steal items from your inventory during battle be wary, or you might lose something valuable mid-fight.
• Unique Behavior – Vibration Detection:
  Like the Warden, Direbats are sensitive to sound and movement, responding to vibrations in their environment. Stealth is key when approaching.
• Natural Roosting:
  Direbats hang upside down from cave ceilings. Approaching them too quickly or making noise may trigger aggression.

Unique Drops & Crafting:

• Direbat Fangs:
  Dropped when killed. These fangs are used to craft enhanced arrows.
• Direbat Arrows:
  Combine fangs with arrows to create Blinding Arrows, which apply 15 seconds of blindness to their target ideal for PvP or crowd control against mobs.
