Lucky Block Mod (1.20.2, 1.20.1) – Random Drops, Structures, and Surprises in Minecraft

download Skip to Downloads

Lucky Block Mod (1.20.2, 1.20.1) adds a single block to Minecraft but introduces thousands of unpredictable possibilities. Each time you break a Lucky Block, something entirely unexpected could happen whether it’s a stack of diamonds, a massive explosion, a mob ambush, or even a giant slime towering over the trees. This randomness makes every interaction with the Lucky Block a thrilling gamble that completely transforms your gameplay experience.

Craftable with gold ingots and a dropper, the Lucky Block now gives purpose to your excess gold. You can also find Lucky Blocks naturally generated throughout your world, often hidden within special structures like Greek temples or ruined wreckages. Each block carries a “luck level” that influences whether your outcome will be a blessing or a curse. The mod is highly customizable, making it perfect for both chaotic survival playthroughs and community-driven mini-games.

Lucky Block Mod

Whether you’re looking to add a layer of risk and reward to survival, create PvP arenas with wild events, or just enjoy the surprise factor, the Lucky Block Mod delivers endless fun and challenge.

Luck Levels and Crafting
Lucky Blocks can have varying “luck levels” from -100 (very unlucky) to +100 (very lucky). These levels are affected by crafting ingredients adding rare items like diamonds increases the luck, while adding items like spider eyes decreases it. You can view and edit luck levels directly in your inventory.

Over 100 New Drops
Break a Lucky Block and you might get fireworks, enchanted gear, potion effects, giant mobs, wishing wells, troll traps, random structures, or even joke messages. Some events are helpful, others deadly.

Custom Structures and Natural Generation
Lucky Blocks can spawn naturally across your world in special structures. Temples made of quartz usually contain highly lucky blocks, while netherrack ruins contain blocks with low luck. These structures appear randomly and make exploration more rewarding.

Dynamic Combat and Challenges
The mod includes surprise combat encounters: Ghasts, Witches with bats, swarms of zombies, and stacked mobs like villagers riding pigs. You’ll never know what you’re up against.

Wishing Wells and Trading Villagers
Some Lucky Block drops include wishing wells toss in a coin to get a surprise outcome. There are also three unique traders that sell “lucky” weapons and armor, letting you gear up with powerful equipment.

Tamed Variants and Jokes
From wolves with colored collars to cats with random skins, the mod adds light-hearted touches. Expect humorous references and unpredictable interactions to keep things interesting.

Creative Mode Options
There are three variants in the creative inventory: normal Lucky Block, very lucky (+80), and very unlucky (-80). This makes it easy to test outcomes or build minigames.

This is the default lucky block. With certain items, the luck amount can be changed. Generally speaking, valuable items such as diamonds and emeralds will increase the luck amount, while less valuable items like spider eyes decrease the luck amount of the block.

Objects of the above stated item in block form will greatly increase the luck value of the block. Higher luck values increase the odds of receiving better item drops. Lower luck values increase the change for bad drops or for deathtraps to spawn instead. Luck values range from -100 (unlucky) to 0 (intermediate value) to 100 (very lucky).

List of items that can modify the luck value for the block:

Any of the following blocks can be added to the Lucky Block to make it more lucky:

  • Diamond: 12
  • Diamond Block:1,000,000
  • Emerald Block: 80
  • Gold Ingot: 6
  • Gold Block60
  • Iron Ingot: 3
  • Iron Block: 30
  • Golden Apple: 40
  • Enchanted Golden Apple: 100
  • Nether Star: 100

Any of the following can be added to the Lucky Block to make it more unlucky:

  • Rotten Flesh; -5
  • Spider Eye: -10
  • Fermented Spider Eye: -20
  • Poisonous Potato: -10
  • Puffer Fish: -20

The luck value of blocks is only known if the block is in the inventory. Therefore, there is a new way to troll friends or play a fun minigame if blocks are placed strategically.

Natural Generation:

Lucky Blocks can be found in either quartz or netherrack structures. If found in a netherrack structure, the block can have -50 to -100 luck. If found in a quartz structure, the block can have 50 to 100 luck.

These structures spawn in the overworld at random location or a structure. In some instances, these drops may be beneficial, but other times they may be harmful, depending on the structure. If there is no structure, then the lucky block’s luck value is at 0; therefore useful items may drop, or a dangerous situation may occur.

Drops:

The list of drops is extensive and ever-changing. In general, the common items spawned are: valuable items (iron, emeralds, diamonds), an enchanted lucky set (armor, tools, weapons), mobs (Mr. Rainbow sheep, giants, spiders), structures (lucky block pyramids, water deathtrap, stained clay tower, lucky block wishing well), explosions, and lava holes.
